U8 Pre-Academy

U8 intramural players have the option to sign up online for our pre-academy program which will participate in a travel league.

This will be a program for U8 intramural players who want extra soccer. You MUST be registered with and particpate in the club’s intramural program to take advantage of this program. Everyone who signs up is accepted into the program. You play teams from other clubs in a travel league. Half of your games will be played in West Islip; the other half in other towns. Scores & standings will be kept.

The cost is $395 per season (which includes academy-style training, travel league team & player fees, referee fees, and paid professional coaching). A travel uniform must be purchased at additional cost. Instructions will be included in your registration confirmation email.

This program will not replace current intramural team rosters or schedules. This program will include extra practices and extra games.

ALL communication will be done through email and mobile app.

An informational meeting is usually held a few months prior to the fall season.  Parents of interested players need to attend this meeting, as it addresses how this program is different from the intramural program and addresses expectations.

The travel league usually posts the schedule in early September for the Fall, and in early March for the Spring.
A link to the schedule can be found under the Schedule tab on our club’s website. Intramural activities will be scheduled around these academy games.

A minimum of 9 players per team and a maximum of 12 players per team is required, so if more than 12 players register it’ll need to be a minimum of 18 total players to form 2 teams. Therefore we urge you to register early so you don’t end up being player #13, #14, #15, #16 or #17 as with 13, 14, 15, 16 or 17 registered players we’ll have too many to form 1 team, but not quite enough to form 2 teams. Once 12 players have registered a wait-list will go into effect. When at least 6 players have registered for the wait-list, we’ll accept those from the wait-list and charge their card to complete registration.

Fall & Spring seasons have separate registrations, allowing those who are only interested in just the Fall or just the Spring to register only for that season.
