An indoor program for players born in 2016 and 2017 who want extra soccer over the winter in a competitive setting.
You MUST be registered with the club's intramural program to take advantage of this program. Everyone who signs up is accepted into the program (as long as there's space). The futsal academy teams are formed in addition to the regular intramural teams. This program will not replace current intramural team rosters or schedules. This program will include extra practices (at a local school gym) and extra games (at gyms across Suffolk county) under the supervision of an academy trainer.
You play against teams from other clubs in a futsal league. Your games will be played on Sundays (some Saturdays) at indoor facilities across Long Island. Scores & standings will be kept.
The registration deadline is November 30. There are only 10 spots per team. If the spots fill up, we HIGHLY recommend registering for the waiting list. As soon as we have enough players on the waiting list, we might be able to establish another team, as long as it's before the deadline. No payment is required to register for the waiting list. If accepted from the waiting list, you'll be asked to complete the registration and pay for your registration.
$349 fee includes: trainer at both practices and games, gym rental, futsal league fee, payment processing fees, and administrative fees.
Additional player insurance (pass) fee of $10 to be paid directly to LIFL online (instructions to follow).
Training sessions start mid-December (practice in December will be on Saturdays and in January switch to a weekday TBD once the school district assigns school gym time slots to the club).
League play starts weekend of January 4/5.
