Vince Velez brings elite-level playing experience and a proven track record of developing top soccer talent to his role as one of the Head Trainers at FC South Bay. A proud product of Long Island’s soccer community, Coach Vince has built a reputation as one of the most accomplished and respected trainers in the region.
A former Division I player for the North Carolina Tar Heels, Coach Vince developed his winning mentality at one of the most storied programs in college soccer history. That foundation of excellence has shaped every aspect of his coaching philosophy.
After his playing career, Coach Vince spent a decade with SUSA, where he served as the head lead trainer of their High Intensity Foot-Skills Clinics while also coaching numerous elite boys’ teams. During his tenure at SUSA, he helped shape hundreds of players who went on to compete at the high school, collegiate, and club levels.
In addition to his work at FC South Bay, Coach Vince is an active trainer within the West Islip Soccer Club, bringing top-tier instruction to the community he calls home. He also joined the No Limits Soccer Academy (NLSA) family in 2024, where he worked with Boys Select Teams and serves as lead trainer for their Futsal and Skills Clinics.
Coach Vince is available to work with individuals and teams at any level, including specialized goalkeeper training. Whether developing a beginner’s first touch or refining the skills of an advanced player, he brings the same intensity, expertise, and commitment to every session.
