
Gerald Castaneda | Trainer, FC South Bay
Gerald Castaneda joins FC South Bay with over four years of coaching experience and a strong competitive playing background. Growing up in Brentwood, New York, he developed a passion for soccer at a young age and has remained involved in the game through both competing and coaching.
As a player, he served as team captain during his collegiate career, helping lead his team to an NJCAA Regional Championship and a berth in the NJCAA National Championship Final Eight. He continues to compete in many of Long Island’s premier leagues and tournaments, bringing the unique perspective and energy of an active playing coach to every training session.
Prior to joining FC South Bay, he spent over three years working with No Limit Soccer Academy (NLSA), where he coached players of various ages, skill levels, and stages of development. He holds a U.S. Soccer coaching license and remains committed to continuing his education while growing as a coach.
Whether coaching a team or leading individual training sessions, Coach Gerald believes in creating a positive, competitive environment through challenging and purposeful training. His goal is to prepare players for the next level of competition while helping them reach their full potential and develop a lifelong passion for the game.
